Barb Thomas is at a designer at Tangram, a premiere, full-service office furnishings and commercial interiors company providing a state-of-the-art business environment for its clients. With over 23 years of experience working as a designer in the contract furniture industry, Barb’s expertise is in developing the overall concept to meet the clients’ needs and specifications. This includes providing projects for Fortune 500 companies such as: Sony Pictures Entertainment, Eli Lilly, General Motors, Ford, Chrysler, Blue Cross Blue Shield Association and Auto Club (AAA), developing corporate standards and managing large corporate furniture portfolios.
One of the qualities Barb brings to the table is her ability to provide customers with alternate solutions that they may not have explored, based on her years of experience in working with a diverse client base. In 2008, Barb’s expertise in out-of-the-box, progressive furniture applications helped lead Steelcase and Gensler’s mutual client, Sony Pictures, to reorganize and streamline their furniture and real estate strategy with an outstanding financial ROI and overall employee satisfaction.
Barbara joined Tangram Interiors in April, 2008 where she is responsible for product selection, space planning (including developing interior strategies to assist large corporations in maximizing their real estate investment), specifications, installation plans, finish selection and other design skills, as needed by the client.
